IDOH Day 2022

The 1st Infectious Diseases and One Health (IDOH) Day was held at Salle Thélème, Tours, France on Friday, September 2nd 2022. The day consisted of three sessions of One Health-related topics, in which several speakers presented their work on:

  •  One Health in Action, being the integration of One Health principles into developing health programmes;
  • Pandemic Preparedness and Prevention, being the methods implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic and needed for future outbreaks; and
  • One Health at Large, being the international implementation of One Health principles and using big data to combat disease.

 These sessions featured speakers from prominent global health agencies, such as the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH, formerly OIE), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), and the One Health European Joint Programme (One Health EJP), and drove extensive engagement.

 Graduation and Convocation

In addition to the speaker sessions, on the IDOH Day 2022 a Graduation and Convocation ceremony was also held. During this session, we gathered to celebrate the hard earned achievement of the 4th cohort of the MSc IDOH students for their completion of the master. We also celebrated the commencement of study for the 6th cohort of MSc IDOH students as a warm beginning to their journey in the MSc IDOH program. This part of the IDOH Day 2022 allowed us to spark the sense of pride and belonging among the MSc IDOH community.
